Rosemary van den Berg grew up in Pinjarra, Western Australia, where she was chosen to attend Perth Girls’ High School and complete her Higher School Certificate. She worked for the Department of Aboriginal Affairs in Perth and Derby before winning a scholarship to undertake a Bachelor of Arts degree at Curtin University. She has gone on to post-graduate studies.
