Ambrose Mungala Chalarimeri was born in his traditional country Oomarri on the King George River in the Kimberley region. His people are the Kwini, described, in his language as, ‘the people from the sunrise side’. Raised in a Spanish Benedictine Mission, Ambrose has lived and worked in the Kimberley for most of his life.
