The 2019 Queensland Literary Awards shortlist has been announced!

Congratulations to Magabala authors Carl Merrison and Hakea Hustler (and iIllustrator Dub Leffler) for the shortlisting of Black Cockatoo in the Griffith University Children’s Book Awarad section.

Congratulations to Alison Whittaker for the shortlisting of Blakwork in the Judith Wright Calanthe Award for a Poetry Collection section.

Congratulations also to Melissa Lucashenko, Ellen van Neerven, Ambelin Kwaymullina, Ezekiel Kwaymullina and all the shortlisted authors.

The winners will be announced at State Library of Queensland on Tuesday, 12 November.
