Magabala Books is thrilled to announce that Gurril: Storm Bird, Dirrarn and Uncle Xbox are 2024 Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Notables.

The CBCA Notables list acts as the longlist for the Awards and is an important part of the awards calendar.

Gurril: Storm Bird by Trevour Fourmile appeared in the Early Childhood category, while Jared Thomas's Uncle Xbox and Carl Merrison and Hakea Hustler's Dirrarn are both up for the Young Readers category.
