Magabala is thrilled to announce that Thank you rain!, Open Your Heart to Country and Charlie’s Swim are 2023 Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Notables.

The CBCA Notables list acts as the longlist for the Awards and is an important part of the awards calendar.

Thank you rain! by Sally Morgan and Johnny Warrkatja Malibirr appeared in the Early Childhood category, while Jasmine Seymour’s Open your Heart Country is up for Children’s Book of the Year. Charlie’s Swim by Edith Wright and Charmaine Ledden-Lewis has been nominated in the prestigious Eve Pownall Award.
