'Close to the Subject' wins 2024 Prime Minister's Literary Award for Non-Fiction

Congratulations to Daniel Browning, his book Close to the Subject: Selected Works has won the 2024 Prime Minister's Literary Award for Non-Fiction.
Close to the Subject: Selected Works is a collection of work from Daniel’s stella career, blending poetry, journalism, playscript, memoir and art criticism. It is a true “masterclass in First Nations creativity, culture and story” and defies categorisation.
The Prime Minister’s Literary Awards were established in 2008. They recognise individual excellence, and the contribution Australian authors make to the nation’s cultural and intellectual life.
