Four Magabala titles CBCA Book of the Year Notables!

Four Magabala titles have been included in the 2020 Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Awards Notables List!

Notable titles are Baby Business by Jasmine Seymour, Cooee Mittigar  by Jasmine and Leanne Mulgo Watson, Little Bird's Day  by Sally Morgan and Johnny Wakkkatja Malibirr and Young Dark Emu: A Truer History by Bruce Pascoe.

Regarded as Australia’s most prestigious children’s literature award, the CBCA Book of the Year is presented across six categories.

Little Bird's Day is a notable title in two categories: Book of the Year Early Childhood and Picture Book of the Year the CBCA New Illustrator Award.

Cooee Mittigar is also a notable titles across two categories: Picture Book of the Year and the Eve Pownall: Information Book of the Year.

Baby Business is a notable title for Picture Book of the Year.

While Young Dark Emu is also a notable titles for the Eve Pownall: Information Book of the Year.

The Shortlisted titles will be announced on Tuesday, March 31 and the Winner and Honour Books will be announced on Friday, August 21 to coincide with Book Week which runs from 22 - 28 August 2020.
