Magabala is thrilled to announce that Bindi by Kirli Saunders, illustrated by Dub Leffler, has been shortlisted for Best Designed Children’s Picture Book in the Australian Book Design Awards (ABDA), announced Tuesday 6 April 2021.

Designed by Jo Hunt and typeset by Post Pre-press Group, Bindi was shortlisted along with five other titles, including another Jo Hunt designed book, Across the Risen Sea.

‘Wow, feeling so lucky to be shortlisted in the Australian Book Design Awards,’ said Jo. ‘Thank you to the ABDA and all the judges involved. Thank you also to all our amazing authors, illustrators, editors and publishers that make ours such a vibrant publishing industry to work in. Bindi is shortlisted for the Children's Book Council of Australia Children’s Book of the Year Awards, an Australian Book Industry Award for Small Publishers’ Children’s Book of the Year, and the Readings Children’s Book Prize.
